With so much clamor these days on environmental science literacy and policy leadership, I am encouraged to remember how to keep things simple. Such as, how can we best communicate about environmental science with children and community in a way that is meaningful and relevant? How can we engage creatively to make subjects interesting? Of course there is the ever-pressing question of how to stay focused on effective environmental stewardship in a world that has seemingly gone mad…
In that spirit, I have been experimenting with different mediums to tell stories of local science in the natural environment, whether in words, photographs, or video.
This post is a short introduction to my first journal in printable pdf format, which I hope to issue several times per year. Let me know what you think in the comments below, and please feel free to share!
